Base Plate Fence Posts for AMP Perimeter Fence Systems
AMP Base Plate Fence Posts are designed to complete Architectural Metal Products perimeter fence systems where the posts must be mechanically anchored to a suitable concrete surface rather than embedded directly into the ground.
Each post combines a square structural steel tube with a welded steel base plate sized according to the selected fence height. End, Line, Corner and Custom Angle configurations are available so the post system can coordinate with straight runs, terminations and directional changes.
Base Plate Post System
Designed for installation over suitable concrete substrates
Unlike Set-In-Ground posts, Base Plate posts terminate at the finished mounting surface. A welded steel plate at the bottom of the post provides the interface for project-specific mechanical anchors.
As fence height increases, AMP increases the post wall thickness and base plate size to provide a more substantial post configuration for the corresponding fence system.
Final anchor type, anchor diameter, embedment, edge distance, concrete strength and substrate capacity depend on the actual project conditions and must be verified before installation.

Used at the beginning or termination of a fence run.
Line Post
Used between two adjacent fence panels in a straight run.
Corner Post
Used where the perimeter fence changes direction at a standard corner.
Custom Angle
Fabricated for project-specific directional changes where a standard corner does not match the required angle.

96″ Fence Height
Base Plate mounting is not offered as a standard catalog configuration at 96″ fence height. For 96″ perimeter fence systems, use the applicable Set-In-Ground post configuration or contact AMP regarding project-specific requirements.
Typical Base Plate Applications
The presence of an existing concrete surface does not automatically confirm that the substrate is suitable for the fence installation. Concrete thickness, condition, reinforcement, edge distance and anchor capacity must be evaluated for the actual project.
Anchorage and Installation Requirements
Anchors Are Project-Specific
Concrete anchors are not universally interchangeable. Anchor manufacturer, anchor diameter, embedment depth, edge distance, spacing and installation procedure depend on the supporting concrete and project loads.
Therefore, the installer, contractor or responsible design professional must verify the appropriate anchorage system before installation.
Structural Verification
Fence height, panel length, wind exposure, site conditions, substrate capacity and other project-specific factors can affect the required anchorage and supporting structure.
Where required, the responsible project professional must verify that the selected post, anchors and supporting concrete are appropriate for the final installation.
